Christopher Matthews is an American author of adventure and children's stories. Born in Eastern Tennessee. He grew up in locations throughout the South and the Caribbean where he sailed with his family part of his high school years. This introduced him to cultures, languages and life experiences while visiting US Territories and countries like the British Virgin Islands, Dominica Republic, Haiti, Bahamas and many others before finishing high school in Florida.

Matthews attended college in Florida where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree. He married his childhood sweetheart and became the father of two girls who were the inspiration for his series of children's stories.
